Your relationship and
fellowship with God were established through Jesus when you were
"Born Again." From then on you have a relationship
as a son or daughter of God, He is your Father. This
relationship is maintained by a daily relationship with Jesus, the
Holy Spirit, and the Word of God. If you break this daily
relationship or are in sin your relationship with God is
broken. He
can not fellowship with sin. Sin hinders the blessings of God
from flowing to you and it also hinders you from praying and
reading the Word of God. You need to confess your sin,
repent (change your ways), and re-establish your fellowship with
Jesus and with God.
You ask, "How can I
re-establish my relationship with God?"

First you
must be born again. If you have not accepted Jesus as
your Lord and saviour yet or
do not know about the Plan of Salvation (New Birth) you should click
here and receive Jesus first.

You
must walk in the light: 1John 1:5-7 "This is the
message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God
is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If
we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we
lie and do not practice the truth. But
if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship
with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses
us from all sin."

We
are justified before God through Jesus: 1John 2:1
"My little children, these things I write to you, so that
you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the
Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Unbelief
and sin will harden our hearts and deceive us: Hebrews 3:12-13
Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief
in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called
“Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of
sin."

We
must have a change of heart and confess our sin and ask for
forgiveness: 1John 1:9 "If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Expect
forgiveness and Joy to come: Acts 3:19
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be
blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the
presence of the Lord."
Are
you ready to return to the Lord and re-commit yourself to His
ways? Here is a simple prayer that you can pray from your
heart and be forgiven and return to fellowship with the Lord.
FATHER,
I come to you in the Name of your Son Jesus. I ask you to
forgive me of my sin that I have committed before you. I
thank you Father that you are Faithful and Just to forgive me and
cleanse me of all unrighteousness and that you remember my sin no
more. I ask you to refresh me now in your Holy Spirit.
